How do we select finalists and winners?
A selection committee of Women In Defense members, industry professionals, and academia consider qualification based on information provided on the nomination form. The best candidates are invited to be interviewed. After all interviews are complete, a winner is selected and invited to receive their award at the WID Michigan Annual Black Tie Gala.
About the awards:
In 2009, Women In Defense Michigan established the Jr. Horizon Industry Awards to recognize female high school students that have excelled beyond her peers in STEM. Winners are announced each year at the WID Michigan Annual Black Tie Gala.
