Giving back is an integral part of Women In Defense Michigan’s mission. Supporting both defense and local organizations or individuals is extremely important to us, and we thank all our generous members, event attendees and sponsors for helping us achieve this very worthy and fulfilling objective.
For 2012, WID-MI has chosen to support the Moms of Michigan Military and Supporters (MOMMS) Organization. This is a non-profit group that supports our local military by sending care packages to those currently serving. The organization also provides social and moral support to those parents whose children are overseas.
Throughout 2012, WID will be accepting donated items as listed on the MOMMS “wish list” at any of our monthly events. A guest speaker from the MOMMS organization will be joining us at our April 3, 2012 event to talk about the charity and answer any questions you may have. Please join us.
