"JACKETS FOR JOBS"

WID supports Jackets for Jobs at all events, collecting donations of men and women’s lightly used or new professional clothing.  For details on the organization and more information on items desired please visit www.jacketsforjobs.org

Guidelines for donated clothing:

  • Garments should be appropriate for job interviews or the business workplace
  • Clothing should be clean, in good repair, on a hanger and preferably less than five years old
  • Items should be suitable for the current season
    • Spring and Summer clothing is accepted March through August
    • Fall and Winter clothing is accepted September through February
  • Greatest items in need include:
    • Plus size suits
    • Plus size hosiery in coffee, taupe and off-black colors
    • Junior size suits in sizes 2-4
    • Suites that appeal to younger women in all sizes
    • Business maternity clothes
    • Medical uniforms, smocks and scrubs
    • Simple, classic fashion jewelry: specifically necklaces, earrings and pins
